Title:Gypsum Mineral Data, this site was about many rocks and their chemical formulas
http://www.wikianswers.com/
Tital: Wiki Answers, this site was about the uses of calcite and gypsum
The chemical formua for Calcite is CaCO3
The chemical formula for Gypsum is CaSO4*2(H2O)
Calcite is used for medicines, roadbed material, building stone, variety of toothpastes and cosmetics and in the production of steel and cement

Metamorphic Rocks

This site is titled Rocks: Igneous, Metamorphic and Sedimentary. This just had pictures of igneous, metamorphic and sedimentary rocks.

Slate was shale before it became metamorphosed. Some uses of slate are table tops, walkways, stone to sharpen knives with and patios.

Marble was limestone before it became metamorphosed. Some uses of marble are floors, counters, structural resurfacing and bathroom aplications.

Quartzite was sandstone before it bacame matamorphosed. Some uses of quartzite are glass, clensers, traction in the railroads, recreations on golf cources and even sand in sand boxes.
This picture is the use of slate.

Canada's Wind Farms

http://www.freep.com/article/20100226/NEWS06/2260374/storm-brews-over-ontario-winds
The title of this site is Will Canada's Wind Tribunes Invade Lakes
The site was about how canadas wind farms were effecting lakes and the city where we live.
Some pros of canada's wind farms are they give green energyand boost the quality of recreational fishing. Some cons of Canada's wind farms are they are ruining the views on houses on the lake, bird migration and are making the shoreline homes drop in prices. I don' t believe that Canada should go on with this process because its making cities near Lake St. Clair and the Great Lakes lose money on houses that had beautiful views very hard to sell because the wind farms are blocking them making our city economies worse. What i could do as a citizen to fight the plan would get a group of people who know a lot about these wind farms to go to Canada and make a deal with the Canadians to take them down or not put them in the middle of the lakes .

The Ring of Fire

All of these websites were about the transformation of volcanoes and where volcanoes are located.

http://geology.com/plate-tectonics.shtml

This website was called Plate Tectonics Map

http://www.globalchange.umich.edu/globalchange1/current/lectures/evolving_earth/evolving_earth.html

The tital of this website was Evolving Earth: Plate Tectonics

There is a relationship between the plate boundaries of earth and volcanoes. All boundries have to do with volcanoes: continent- continent convergent boundary, ocean- continent- convergent boundary, continent- continent divergent, transform fault boundaries, ocean -ocean convergent boundary, ocean continent- convergent boundary, ocean- ocean divergent boundary.

The title of this website is Physical Geology
http://www.geo.msu.edu/geogmich/rift_zone.html
The title of this website is the Mid- Continent Rift Zone
http://www.scotese.com/earth.htm
This title of this website is called Paleomap Project
These websites were about plate tectonics and how they are dividing and connecting and what happens in this process.
Pagena was 135 million years ago, when all of the continents were last joined as one. The Keweenawan Rift was about 1.1 billion years ago. The type of lavas rock that now fills the Keweenawan Rift is 15 km of lavas. The period of time that michigan was south of the equator was called Cambrian, this period was 514 million years ago. In the future world the major mountain range that is north of Africa is the Mediterranean mountains. 250 million years from now North America will be connected to Africa and Eurasia.

http://www.iris.edu/seismon/
Febuary 6, 2010
The name of this article was Seismonci Moniter. It was about how frequently and where earthquakes occur.
There have been 10 earthquakes that have happened all around the world today. The most recent earthquake that happened in the United States was near the Coast of Northern Calif on Febuary 4th. The state that seems to have the most earthquakes is California. The most earthquakes in South America seem to occur in Tanzanla. As you move from west to east across south america the earthquakes stop, there are none there.
